Cherokee
Ottesen graduated through The Center for Journal Therapy as a certified
instructor of the writing techniques workshop based on the work
of Kathleen Adams. She is a life long journal writer and poet. Writing
has been a natural extension of her personality and she has written
for personal growth and creativity for over 20 years. Cherokee has
been teaching this workshop series since 1999 with great gratification
and passion. She has had the opportunity to work with colleges,
hospitals, wellness centers and book stores. Cherokee’s work
has led her through extensive training with social workers and therapists.
Cherokee graduated from the Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale in 1993,
Wake Tech Community College in 2007 and is continuing to pursue
another degree with a focus on Psychology. She is a United States
Navy Veteran, a devoted wife and mother to five children.
“Emotion,
experience, diversity and imagination are what happen when you apply
pen to paper," explains Ottesen, “you kiss your soul and connect
the universe.”
